Hi.
You will have a new drive letter for any additional partition that the system can see, so yes, an ext2fs partiton will be assigned a drive letter as well that you can handle just the same way as usual.
Also you can take any folder, drive or file and create an alias to it at about any place under MiNT (as well as under MagiC), so yes, you can do your /mnt/music and /mnt/movies thing (besides /mnt/pictures and /mnt/backup or whatever you like).
