No, if the HD works in the caddy but does not internally, then the controler must be ok.
Unless of course the Caddy is an ACSI one and the thing is connected to the ACSI port instead of the SCSI one?
But if its SCSI then there may be a possibility that the SCSI Cable inside the TT itself is bad?
Its connected to the board just on the far right, to be completely honest, I dont know how easily it comes away from the board as I have never tried to take mine off, but it might be worth at the very least, having a close look at the ribbon cable if nothing else.
The Internal ribbon cable, and the external SCSI port are one in the same conroler, so if the drive works externally, then its NOT the controler.
AS say, this second drive you have tried works in the MSTE, and so thats probably rules out Termination, and so my thoughts are now with the Ribbon cable only.
