I'm not really sure what you mean by "bay" but the 2.5"
IDE drive should be located in between the PSU and the
disk drive and there should be some sort of minimum
mounting frame on top of the PCB to hold the IDE drive.
J16 and J20 are the two connectors that make up the
expansion bus of the Falcon. Don't remove the jumper
over pin 20 and 22 on J20.
P6 is, as you have guessed, the IDE interface. If there's no
mounting frame on your Falcon, i recommend to cut a
CF-card sized hole in the back of the case and fix the
IDE-to-CF-adapter on the other side of this hole. That
would be good enough to prevent the adaptor's PCB to
hit the Falcon's PCB and would allow you to change the
CF card without opening the case.
