Surely two decades on this can't still be so much of an issue? One *expandable* computer that can do all Atari computer platforms so as to be all inclusive..
Kind of like what Sony did with the Playstation Home Entertainment Computer, which is backwards compatible or at least emulate everything out of the box...
It is hard for me to fathom that the Tramiels so divided the community that to this day no one is yet passionate enough to fulfill the original plans and dreams! The futuristic plans Atari had, the Tramiels so frivously tossed to the side. This is one area still waiting to be made right. Someone needs to make Atari Coldfire the Atari computer of all Atarians dreams. A confirmation of their strong past and looking towards the future. Does anyone else understand the passion of the Fuji...? I think the message from the past is clear what needs to be fulfilled... good things will come.
