Once opened it clearly showed REV 2 on the SCSI controller. Ill remember that for later.

I managed to get a replacement Conner 40MB CP3040A from an Apple Mac for $NZ11 which was a bit better than the $US100+ they want for them on eBay.

Also got an Epsom SMD 340 floppy drive which I put in at the same time to replace the failing original drive. Straight swap of the face plates so the machine still looks original.

The great news is that it is now up and running again.
