Yes, this is EXACTLY what is going to happen now.
I have been in touch with Rodolphe.
we are tryign to work out whats wrong.
There is absolutely no doubt that my Falcon is not right, but I am also happy that the CT is perfect.
If I do send it to him, then I will be sending the lot. Its going to cost me, but look at it this way, the Falcon cost me £250 for the bare machine, then the CT on top... Coupled with the HD and the time and effort that not only myself but many of you lot have put into it... Its going to go, and it will come back 100%.
Its got to be worth the cost of posting it.
I know for a fact that a good number of you are pissed off with me and hell, please just try to imagine how I feel?
I dont get much time to play with my Falcon and I play fine with it one day, I do nothign to it but I just cannot get it tostart up the next day? - its irritating, so I give up and then the next day I go to find out why it would not work, and its fine?
Anyway, I am doing a few more tests to find out some other things.
It ( At this moment ) is running KRONOS Benchmark tests just fine in 060 mode, today I was able to chuck some ridiculously massive pictures into IMAGECOPY4 as well as use CAB 2.7 with some complex html files and QED to view the source, and, at the same time I had a bunch other programs HBASIC2, DEVPAC3, PAPYRUS OFFICE, each with their own junk and I never had a problem.
I run KRONOS with all that and it still managed to complete its full run so...

Ok, I am looking at some settings, and wondering what I have set and what everyone else has.
Rodolphe suggests the BLITTER to OFF but I can only do SLOW or FAST, so I have it on SLOW and this has made an immediate difference.
I have the Boot oder to
OLD IDE 0-1 / SCSI0-7 and again, this seems to have stopped it from failing during the boot process ( Again, too early to tell )
So, can anyone offer me anything else that might help before it gets shipped?
I mean, if its all down to configuration, then I know that it will be my fault and I will work at it. But I have also disconnected the SCSI completely and this has alos helped too! - this, and the problem of it crashing when I try to connect the PS/2 Keyboard & Mouse adapter make me think that hardware is also an issue.
Ok, I will leave it there.
What I ma saying is that "Touch-Wood" its been running fine again now, and every step I have taken has taken me another step to a solution. ( oooh, bit poetict here ) thanks to many of you.
