The obvious would be to tell us what you have actually connected to the TT. Also, what is a DMA-Bus ?
Are you relying on HDDriver's auto-recognition during boot or are you running HDDriver's ID Check and it finds nothing?

Anyhow, most (obvious) problems on the SCSI bus come from missing/bad termination.The (slightly less) obvious problems come from peripherals requiring the host to arbitrate with its own separate ID, which can be switched on in HDDriver easily.
The (still pretty obvious) way of approaching it would be to disconnect all internal and external drives, then connect one known to work properly, make sure it is correctly terminated and see what HDDriver makes out of it.

What obvious results do you get ? ;-)
