There was a special edition of Linux Format that gave instructions on getting linux running on pretty much anything you can possibly think of.

Among them, was getting it to play on an XBOX... The original one.

A mate has it running on his and yeah, its dog slow, however he is using it like a Media center and for that, its perfectly fine.

He has had to put a 40GB inside the XBOX, however, he has pretty much filled up a NAS box HD with Movies and stuff and the XBOX under Linux accesses it just fine without having to resort to setting it up. You just add a device and any media files get added to his list automatically and I find that a very nice and useful thing.

I may give it a shot... I have 3 XBOXes
