If you want/need to run the newest versions of huge commercial software packages like Logic, Illustrator or Photoshop, get a Mac (if you can afford a fast one that is, which will *not* be cheap ;-)). If your demands are not that high, and you'd like to get a machine that's straightforward, cool and not that expensive, something Atari could be a good choice.
