Hi.
The two best sample editors for your STF is
REPLAY8 and SOUNDLAB. Should be available at
any ATARI FTP archive. They requires external
hardware if you want to sample sounds.
What you need to transfer files between your
STF and some "peesee" is PARALELCOPY!! Very
fast and reliable transfer prog, that sends
files via the Centronics paralel ports.
The archive contains executables for both
TOS and dos, and you only need a paralel
cable with 11 leads, but there´s a good
description, with picture, on how to make it.
I use PARCP almost every day for passing
files between all our ATARI machines, and
sometimes I DL something from internet with
a old 486, and then pass those files on to
any ATARI, with PARCP. Fast & easy.
Get it here:

Sure, you need to get the ATARI executable
on to your STF. If you use ECOPY to format
a standard DD disk (without the HD hole!),
and klick on "ibm-compatible", then your
peesee too should be able to use that disk.
Now, when it comes to art packages, I can
recommend CRACKART and CYBERPAINT. Both has
animation functions and lots of cool FX.
I STill use these progs now and then to make
web graphix with a STE, even though I DO have
a Falcon too, with APEX MEDIA, the ultimate
art & morph pack for it.
Cheers
