30 pin 1mb simms will work fine. and you can upgrade upto 4mb easily.

there are more sophisticated accelerator/memory upgrade boards e.g. the Veloce upgrade which give a processor boost to almost as fast as a Falcon (without the graphics of the falcon), with more memory too!

Link and other host adaptors are available and allow the use of virtually any SCSI drive, including CDROM drives and Zip drives. I would also recommend the SmartIDE or IDEal adaptors that allow the internal HD upgrade with 2.5" IDE drives, or xteranlly with the much cheaper 3.5" IDE drives.

There is a problen in a few STEs (usually 520STEs) that cause problems with some SCSI host adaptors, with faulty DMAs. That can be rectified, but using SmartIDE gives you a TOS upgrade, and bypasses the DMA flaw, and so does (i think) using the IDEal.

good luck
