You had better look at the SCSI set up again as SCSI only supports 7 devices on the chain, but that again depends on your controller. SCSI 2,3,5 will support 15 devices but then again it depends on the controller. Check out Adaptec for the facts and figures on this stuff as they are the leader in the SCSI field.
ICD Links have worked fine for me and the updated software that they provided towards the end of their run of work supported Zip and Jazz drives also. You needed their software which was called SCSI Pro or Auto Boot and was version 6.5.5.
Also you will find that if you supply +5 volts on pin 26 of the Centronics 50 pin both Link 1 and Link 2 will function ok. With jumpers disable parity and make sure power termination is set if this is the last device on the chain. The Link 97 or what ever it was called did not have software with it and you need to supply the drivers for it.
The op system should be up graded to TOS 2.06 for best results and eliminated some of the earlier problems.
