Did I ever say it wasn't? Please read my message a little bit more carefully. I only said that it isn't relevant what system he uses/used. And that was exactly the thing you were emphasizing on in your first message in this thread. So don't get angry at me, it's senseless.
>It gives you a very good insight of the style the
>artist will use in the future.
Yes and no. In this case probably yes, because he is supposed to do the same kind of thing this time (icons). But I can tell you from my own experience that my previous work (mostly scene) differs a lot from my current (both professional and scene) work. And this is the case for a lot of graphical designers.
>Personally I think Milan made an excellent choice as those Icons I >showed you look real good, although they are only drawn in 32 colors.
I've seen those icons. They're nice. But nothing more than that. They're a bit too "game-ish" to my eyes. And it's not a special achievement to do this kind of icons in 32 colors. Why? Icons are usually 32*32 pixels in size. So using more than 32 colors is completely unnecessary and will only eat space and processing power.
>And I very sorry posting those urls. I allways thought actual pictures
>are more convincing than just words.
Yes, they are. But I somehow got the idea that all you contributed to this forum were a lot of links to amiga desktops, and I've seen more than enough of those. I expected to find some useful comments too, and all that was there were some rather annoying remarks in a "now there's no reason to disagree with me anymore" style, and that disappointed me.
Remember this?
>I was pretty surprised to see that Milan asked Matt Chaput to create the

>Yes Icons are irrelavent to the actual power of a system but still it is
>shocking! LOL
Says it all.
>And I thought this subject would be interesting for "hardcore" Atari >Users too.
It is... :) Did I ever say it wasn't?
>As none of my posts seem to please the Atari.org crew, I shall stop

That's your choice. But I really think that something else is going on. the guys behind atari.org didn't give many responses to your postings, and certainly not recently.
I get the idea (but correct me if I'm wrong) that you are disappointed because we won't change to the Amiga platform en masse, and that this is also the reason why you say that you will stop posting here.
Anyway, off for now...
Cheers,
/Peter.
