Hi,
I have tried most of the ST emulators available for the PC.
I find that Gemulator is the best for GEM-type applications as you can copy the files straight over from your ST disk to the PC's hard drive. If the programs are written properly for TOS i.e. don't use any illegal functions then they should work fine.
Some of the earlier versions of Gemulator didn't have sound or joystick support, but later versions such as what you can download from Emulators Online (who write Gemulator) do have these functions and improved sound support. Don't expect it to run many games as it is designed to run CPU intensive Atari ST programs.
WinSTon is quite good as it runs alot of*.MSA and *.ST game files, plus you can use WinSTon to save ST files that are contained in a *.ST or *.MSA file into the original format they were written in so you can use them with a normal ST!
Got to go now - Going to buy a second-hand ST and monitor now!
