Ah!! the humble Joystick.

Joysticks that are used on the Amiga should work fine on the Atari's without problem. The Amiga's didn't have anything fancy for joystick support like the STE's enhanced joysticks, that never appeared (or did they and I slept through it:)).

Prices ranged quite a bit from a couple of quid to £100+, and in any shape you could think of.

I've got one in the shape of a Tortoise/Turtle that you use by putting your hand over the shell and tilting it in the direction very much like the Joyball Quickshot brought out, mind you it is make by Quickshot.

The one I liked, and I've only seen one of them, I missed it by 5 minutes:((( This looked like a lead fishing weight with several copper contacts, your thumb acted as the joystick etc.. NO moving parts at all!!! These were only £19.95p GBP.

A steering wheel was produce for machines, Amiga Atari etc., that work by tilting/turning it in the direction you want to go: clockwise=right, anticlockwise=left, tilt forward=forward, tilt backwards=backward. It don't half take some getting use too.

I've been thinking of selling it with a BRAND NEW set up pedals!!!
