Most people use RSC editors such as WERCS, which also comes with Lattice C v5.x. and another popular one, which has defied me again: it was given away on a cover disk (ST Format or Review). K-Resource is the one:)

Anyway, these editors produce a file that can be included into your own programs. BASIC is usually included.
