Hey, did YOU made ME curiuos now, or? Just HAD to transfer
Cubase Audio 2.6 from the Falc to my Mega 4, (PARCP again,
1.2 MB in less than 10 secunds :) ) just to see if it would
start at all. It did, so it will prolly do OK on your TT, too.
Don´t expect the HD-recording and audio filter stuff to work
though, since these functions requires a DSP being present...
First thing when I started it, a dialog popped up:
"Audio works on FALCON 030 only!"
Klicked OK, then next dialog showed:
"The audio engine could not be started!"
OK again, and CAF started up. (in 1280X960, beuatiful!!)
You can still use it as a MIDI sequencer though, and it´s SO
much better than Cubase 3.10, cos it has tons of edit functions
and other stuff, that no non-audio version has. It´s just great!
Now, for "the ST is still widely used", Yep, that´s very true, but
how about this: yesterday, there was an interview with two american
musicians, on Swedish TV. Just before it ends, one of these guys said:
"Even though I´m using an ATARI 1040 ST, I can still make good music!!"
????? -What to say? :-
Heh, I know how to connect external MIDI to an peesee, have done it,
but won´t ever tell anyone cos then prolly even more people would give
up on the TOS platform, for that loasy crap! Anyone agree??
(it IS a bit tricky, then. Must add a couple of chips ;)
BTW, while I was on it, trying top software out on the Mega, I couldn´t
resist to copy CAB 2.7 from the Falc, too. Using it right now. CAB looks
great in 800x600x256 on the falc, but imagine it in THIS *HUGE* res!
It´s in greyscales, ok, but who needs colors on the phorum anyway :-)
BTW2, There´s no colour version of CAF, though it runs in col res too...
Keep on TOS-i´n
