Sorry, mate, but you canīt use a diskdrive from an MAC, since it uses a completely different interface. The ST uses the "shugart" bus, same as any peesee are using, so you could as well rip the drive out of your 386, and hook it on your ST. :) You can find the needed info at:
www.pinouts.da.ru
Click on the "pinouts" button, and let the document load (itīs HUGE!) then scroll down to the "floppy drives", and save these two entries: "Atari Floppy Port" and "Internal Diskdrive". With them, you should be able to build the cable.
Even if you connect an 1.44 MB drive, it will only read 720 KB disks. If you want your ST to be able to read 1.44 disks, youīll have to add an minor modification to the FDC chip, and the ST must run TOS 2.06, to be able to handle it. Now, that wonīt leave much RAM left for apps on an 520...
Never heared of any TT emulator for the ST, sounds just as funny as an pentium emulator for your 386 would be? ;)
Hey, GEM for OS/2 sounds fun, where can we DL it?
