I discovered this with a new Teac drive.
I went to the Teac home page, and fiddled
around until I got the jumper settings (their
site leaves a LOT to be desired). I had to
disable the "auto sensor" for the disk size.
Once I did this, the drive's secondary BIOS
was disabled and it allowed direct calls from
the machine to interpret the disk.
So, for all practical puposes, it became a
happy, little, "slam-dunk" 720k drive.
This is NOT like discovering the atom, but
since I had to hassle with it, I figure maybe
someone else might as well. Hopefully this
will save them a search.

Thanks.
