Is there any way of converting a UK Jag to run at 60Hz?
I don't mind chopping bits off here and there.

Yes, I've done this to my UK Jag., piece of cake. The most time consumming part is stripping the Jag down to the motherboard. I used the Jag FAQ which I found on a ST PD Disk-Magazine (using a real ST, BTW!).

I can't remember the resistor number, but I remember there were 4 surface mounted resistors on the underside of the motherboard, all close to each other, all more-or-less directly under one of the joypad ports. All you have to do is break one of these resistors (it was a 0 Ohm so you solder over it to convert it back).

As I said, I can't remember which resistor it was, but if you want, I can get the easily get the info. for you.

But, I considered it to be a complete waste of time as the screen was running at 60Hz, but the games run at the same speed, regardless of Hz. I was looking forward to playing Tempest 2000 that little bit faster.
And the picture looks ugly in 60 Hz too.

I keep meaning to put a blob of solder over the resistor I broke to convert it back to 50Hz for the better picture. I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Hope this helps.
