Actually I would say that Atari has been left behind by Jaguar!
There have been about 3 or 4 new carts out in the last year or so, and Atari is long gone...

I think what we'll see over the next couple of years is a handful of games, either never-released games coming out, or hobbyist games written from scratch and sold in small numbers, a la Battle Sphere.
I think there are perhaps a few thousand active Jaguar fans - enough to support a few games as above but not nearly enough to attract "professional game developers".
I have this fantasy that Infogrames will embrace the Jaguar and produce/support it as an alternative "budget" video game console. Realistically - that won't happen. You couldn't mass-produce a Jag for less than say $50 US, and not many people will buy 10 year old technology when for twice the money they can buy a PS1 or an N64.
