The exact setup depends on your monitor.
What you should do is:
Put VIDELITY.PRG into your AUTO-folder
Reboot.
Launch VID_CONF.PRG
Click the "?!" Button and fill in the minimum
and maximum horizontal scan-rates of your
monitor.
Setup the wanted resolution in the wanted
colour depth (1024 x 768), click the
INTERLACED button in the lower middle of the
VID_CONF screen
Now press SHIFT to check if the resolution
works.
Then simply click the disk-icon.
Now you have put 1024x768 interlaced on the
menu entry that was specified in the middle
part of the VID_CONF screen, like "80 columns
double line off 256 colours".
Now you only have to activate this resolution
in the desktop by setting the screen to
"80 columns double line off 256 colours" and
you will get the resolution you specified
with VID_CONF.
