Hi

I can't help you with the hard drive, as my Mgae STE doesn't have one fitted.. yet!!!!

I presume you have a hard disk driver, or the disk is autobooting!!!!!

The cable that connects the keybaord is a the type that plugs into your telephone socket on modems. IIRC the keyboard doesn't use all 6 connections. If I am wrong someone will correct me (I hope).
