Hoi Mike!
>Please note that Amiga is also targetting the Linux
community as a potential market for the Next Generation
Amiga.
Oh, Mike just let me: Whhooooaaaahahahaha!
Ahhh, better now::-) I want to see Linux freaks
changing plattforms because of the Amiga2.
Linux users are too selfish to switch
platforms.;-)
>This kernel is extremely superior and in my view
What does it make superior exactly?
>(I expect some details on some powerful software structures
that enable "revolutionary" tranparent high-speed Networking/Internet
capabilites.)
I simply can't believe such hype. "Extremely
superior", "revolutionary". I heared a lot of
such crap from a lot of companies (Atari did their job
well - DSP Modem.:)) and in Germany we use to
say 'Nichts wird so heiss gegessen wie es gekocht wird'.
>But they will be at least of "mainstream" quality. They
will be written in very portable code and api's like C++
and OpenGL. But these will be the very first software for
the new Amiga.
I don't think 'mainstream' software will make
PC junkies change plattform. Software sells Hardware...
Probably some Amigos will buy the new wonder machine
and some open minded guys.
Also when the first Amiga was released back in time
the market was open for new computer plattforms but
things have changed...
>A super secret company. Linus Torvalds work there (Linux
creator). And some major companies/people (including Paul Allen)
have invested in the "Thing" the are producing! ;)
Wow, 'super secret'.:-)) Now I'm excited.
BTW: Atarians already have the "Thing" :-)
Regards,
Jan
