TOS 1.6/1.62 will limit you to 256Mb partitions, GEMDOS will limit you to 32Mb (maybe even 16 - it was 16 from TOS 0.99 to 1.02), so make sure you use BGM partitions.

I was using the Spectre GCR one time, and MacOS ruined my partition tables. I'd only had the drive a couple of days, and it formatted fine when I first installed it, it worked OK, but then it stopped and I couldn't re-partition or reformat it. The drive was totally dead - even FDISKing it didn't work on a PC. Hmm... that was with the GEsoft utils which I also have (but these weren't free so I'm not uploading them).
