The big questions for the Milan III will be:
a) Will there be new VDI and AES calls to handle new hardware (such as the
joystick and joypad, neither of which are easily available to evnt_multi)?
b) Will there be a suite of new VDI calls to handle image translation from
"uncompressed screen display" to "compressed IMG file" (in both directions)?
Will there be a third call that tests the integrity of a compressed IMG file to
ensure it is not corrupted (useful before decompression!)?
c) Will there be a forgiving high-level language (like BASIC) that will allow novice
users to program their own applications using the power of the OS?
d) Will there be a powerful low-level language (like C or Java) that will give power
users the control they need?
e) Will there be simple, easy documentation and tutorials to guide novices in
programming using the power of the OS?
f) Will the Milan III be available in English for marketing in Great Britain and even
<gasp> in the United States?
g) Will the forgiving high-level language, powerful low-level language,
documentation, and tutorials also be available in English?
h) Will the Milan III offer the optional command-prompt (not available with Atari's
implementation of GEM) since it will have a Linux kernel?
