I think Unreal Tournament has better graphics :)
Anyway, I must agree with you. Although the Amiga had some nice features, it still can't compare to an STe. One main advantage was that the Amiga had several co-processors that took some load off the CPU, while the CPU lugged most of the load on the STe. But I've compared Civilization on the Amiga and Atari. The Atari version is much faster. Graphics are the same. The sound however is much better on the Amiga.
But the reason that I got an Atari was that my dad felt that it gave more power for a cheaper price than the Amiga. One thing that was important was the built in RF-Modulator on the Atari.
I've read several posts on "How fantastic the Amiga RF-box addon box thingy is."
If it's so damn great, why isn't it internal?
And they constantly brag about their os.
I've had two A500, and they were the worst damn piece of Computer hardware I've ever owned. When someone slammed the outer door, the Amiga crashed. "Guru Meditation". Compare that with the fact that it rained on my ST (I'd forgotten to close the window). I turned it on, it smelled a bit odd, but it still ran. It noticed that it was wet after 10 minutes...
And in the ST repair manual, it actually says that you should put a cloth on a table and drop the ST.
If i so much as sneezed near my Amiga, it would crash....
