The YM-chip does -not- generate samples. It has an analouge output.
The best way to get samples from the soundchip output is simply to sample it. And on the Falcon it is easy, as you can redirect the YM-synth output directly to the Falcons ADC.
If you must use PC, then download the "ST Sound" player and tunes. It can dump the emulated ST-songs relatively well (alot lot better than Winston) to wav samples.
