Ok, for a start, AAA has obviously not properly read my message properly, I clearly said, that I was only comparing the software I had, and it did not apply to the whole range.
I did not knock the amiga in any way whatsoever...What I said, was what I found out in my own experiences, and that I will stick by
I was thinking that she was just looking for an A500/600 or thereabouts, and so I based my reply around that.
I may well have stretched it, because I have owned a 2000 / 500 / 600 / 1400, with the 2000 being my first machine, I have also owned every Atari from the original ST up, but the only 2 I had at one time, was the 500 and the STE, and so this is what I compared them on, despite knowing that the 2000 was somewhat superior.
Yes, I am slightly bias I wont even bother to deny that. But I did not want to compare the ST vs The Amiga. Why should I? that wasnt the idea.
What was the idea, was just to say my own side of the story.
I think I did this, and yes I have obviously hit a nerve in AAA, but this was not my intention. I appologise for that, but not for what I said.
In the end, she asked about Papyrus... This is a Word Processor, not a video toaster, so I gave an answer fitting to the question... Or so I thought!?
