Do so. My Mega comes around even without the Viking, with a "normal" monitor, but only in low res... It wont boot in, or change to medium. Must have something to do with that extra TTL chip I found soldered to the 68000īs pins...
You could always try your Mega with a TV set, to see if it works at all... What Megafile do you have? 20, 40 or 60MB? I trashed the old earthquake-drive in my MF60, for a 540MB SCSI drive, and a LINK II. Got rit of the noise, and itīs more than ten times faster... :)
I also gave the Mega an DD/HD floppy drive.
Itīs very easy to do, since you can take the 16MHZ signal from the unused oscillator next to the empty slot on the Viking, directly to the MFP!
Works excellent on my Mega...
Some norwegian guy told me the slot is for a 68881 FPU only, but I canīt try that since I only have ī882,s. I donīt think itīs possible to even find a ī881 today, or?
