Hi,
HD disks can be easily converted to DD disks: just format them as 720K disks
(from MS-DOS or even TOS), and put a piece of scotch (I don't remember the
exact term, scotch is trademark of 3M) on the second hole (the one which is not
used for disk protection) - which is used for HD detection. Note that you change
your 720K disk drive by a HD one, but since the FDC (floppy disk controller) isn't
fast enough in the STf, and that the TOS revision is too old, you be able to use
it as a real HD disk drive. Note that only MegaSTe, TT and Falcon can use HD
disk without any modification of the TOS or the hardware.
That's all (and easy for the first thing)
It worked a long long time ago even with my 520 STf...
Hope this helps,
LST
