Read what I said VERY carefully. You are in fact agreeing with me.
The chosen CPU really does need to have on-board MMU and FPU.
The 68000 is the ST doesn't have them but it was designed nearly
20 years ago. I was trying to highlight that having off-cpu items is
not the way to go.
I am not a hardware design guru but it seems to me that the Coldfire
isn't yet ready for this sort of application. However, I am prepared to
be proved wrong ;-)
