There is some games for mono, but here´s my tip:

Get a cheap multitimbral midi-synth, and CUBASE!!
(Cubase is monochrome, anyway)
Then you can start making hits with your ST...

I started with STE/PRO-24, ten years ago,
and now my studio is run by Falcon/Cubase audio.
