Cubase is dongle protected, none of the cracks are very stable, so if someone offers you a crack online they are breaking the law and also offerig you something that won't work very well....CUbase got a reputatin for instability from all the cracked vbersions whereas in actual fact the legit version is very very stable....If you get hold of v3, then ftp.steinberg.de has the latest version, along with the last version of MROS (Cubase strips out the Atari OS and replaces it with MROS)...AtariSpares has some legit v3 or Score in stock. A stock 1040 doesnt' really have enough memory for Cubase, especially the later versions unless you leave bits of the install off (IPS for starters).....join the people on Atari-Midi for some useful info and chat about atari adn music apps.....there's a lot of freeware out there now, Cubase isn't the half of it.....
