If your ST has a harddrive then use Winzip to compress the Cubase files and decompress with STZip or if you have a Laplink cable, use PARCP to transfer them. If you need to cut the file down cos none of the above apply then you can remove the MROS drivers (.DR/.DRV) for any interfaces you don't have. You can also take out device-specvific mixermaps, if you are new to Cubase then remove the IPS module, if needs be take out the arpeggiator module as well.
MROS auto-runs as you start Cubase...it's why Cubase takes so long to laod up...
Make sure your protection dongle is properly inserted before you power the machine up too...inserting it into a powered up machine may damage the dongle or the ST.....
