Gee, who could guess THAT??!
Yes, I do have Aniplayer on the Falc, so Iīll
send it to one of the STEīs, (with PARCP :)
along with a bunch of MP3īs, and check this
out, right away! IF it works, I have to admit
that Iīll be very impressed! -Hey, the first
versions of Falcamp didnīt play very well on
my Falc, so who could expect that one single
8MHZ 68000 (without DSP!) could handle MP3īs?
Some of my pese-nerd-pals around here almost
starts to cry, when I show them that a 16MHZ
ATARI handles MP3īs very well, when their own
486DX4-120MHZ canīt play them at all!! :-)
I always thought it depends 100% on the DSP,
guess I was wrong...
The 68K CPUīs really have a greater potential
than ANYTHING else, right?! -I mean, take a
"pentium" or "G3", and give THEM only 8MHZ,
and then try to make them DO anything? :)
Anyway, the max bitrate for a STE canīt be
very high, eh? 8KPS? 16? I donīt expect to
hear what song it is ;) but if it starts to
play at all, itīs cool enough, hehe.
btw, Iīll also try Aniplayer on a 040 MAC,
running MAGICMAC @ 40MHZ. Interesting...
Best
