If the player soft is written as a .ACC or .CPX, you could control the thing from within any GEM program, without interrupting anything, and then carry on with whatever you were doing... Would it be possible to make a programmable "playlist" to run in the background? I wish I could learn Assembler, but nope...
Anyway, if we build a MP3 hardware, we´ve decided to somehow make it "Atari-only", or at least "win-proof" to prevent it from being used on some pese. :) We´ve discussed to add a EPROM with a (MP3) robot voice to say tru the speakers:
"Winslow detected! Self destruction in five seconds. four! three..."
