>> 1) What is regarded as being THE Jaguar site, a site that is regularly updated with all things Jaguar?

There are really 2 of them

http://jaguar.holyoak.com/ - which is probably the most comprehensive but not the most updated

http://www.geocities.com/greggeorge/ - which is about more than the Jaguar but its updated all the time - reviews, discussion, chat, etc

The place that you need to go if you like Jaguar and want to discuss is Jaguar Interactive II - THE Jaguar Discussion Forum

http://www.atarihq.com/interactive/

>> 2) In addition to the titles I mentioned above, what others would you recommend I get my hands on?

Some ones I recommend - Power Drive Rally, Rayman, Missle Command 3D, Ultra Vortek, Iron Soldier (I and II) and Alien vs. Predator - there are a bunch more good ones but those are the ones that jump out at me

>> I have read some info about the Catbox. How useful would you say this is to have, and how easily are they to come by?

Not very useful and very hard to come by. It allows you to plug in an external monitor and has a bunch of different outputs. If you were with a bunch of people that had Catboxes it would allow you to play a big networked game of Battlesphere.

>> Battlesphere looks as though it could be a fantastic piece of fun, but I understand that there are no new cartridges available. Does anyone have it, if so what are their thoughts on it, and secondly, is there any way that an original can be found for purchase?

Its a great game but very rare. It is only being made in small batches and on eBay the average price is about 350 bucks. The best place to find one is to keep your eyes peeled to the Jaguar Interactive Forum - because if they are auctioned by Scatologic or being sold for a decent price, that is where to find them

>> 5) What is needed in order to develop Jaguar software yourself?

Someone else has to answer this one - I suggest asking on Jaguar Interactive II

>> What is the Jaguar amateur development scene like at the moment and what titles are people looking forward to?

Once again, you should ask on Jaguar Interactive II

>> Where do you recommend that I purchase Jaguar software and hardware from, bearing in mind I am from the UK? Telegames seems a good bet. Are they reliable?

Get all your stuff from eBay - Telegames is too expensive as well as all the other retail places. The best place to get Jaguar stuff is on eBay.

Hope this helps,

The Helper
