That could take a while to explain.  Basically, Magic took the "Windows"-like route, and Mint took the "Linux"-like route.

Yes.  It is also an operating system and an Atari emulator on PC.  Once your computer runs Magic, it can run most TOS programs.

Most users of both Magic and Mint have more than a MegaSTe, but both will run on your computer.  I use Geneva personally, since it requires much less memory.

You don't have the prepackaged "here it all is" mentality of Mac or Microsoft, this is true.

I've noticed that nearly all games do not run on the modern OS and nearly all non-games do.  Thus, you only need to turn off the OS during game time.
