Are those disks saved with that particular machine?
There are a small risk that your ST have a singelsided drive, and those disks may be DD formatted...If so, you can still see the directorys, but nothing will work. This will result in TOS error #5. Try to format a disk, and then view "show info", to see if it´s a 360K or 720K...
Another option; The heads in the drive may be dirty. Clean them up with alcohol, DON´T use a "cleaning disk", they only messes the heads up even more!
When you´re on it, you can see if there´s one or two heads... If there´s only one, the drive are single-side. We have a bunch of spares original 720K Atari drives, since we´ve replaced them with 1.44´s in some ST(E)´s thru the years. You can have one if needed. :-) Just mail us at Flashlabs...
