Are those disks saved with that particular machine?
There are a small risk that your ST have a singelsided drive, and those disks may be DD formatted...If so, you can still see the directorys, but nothing will work. This will result in TOS error #5. Try to format a disk, and then view "show info", to see if itīs a 360K or 720K...
Another option; The heads in the drive may be dirty. Clean them up with alcohol, DONīT use a "cleaning disk", they only messes the heads up even more!
When youīre on it, you can see if thereīs one or two heads... If thereīs only one, the drive are single-side. We have a bunch of spares original 720K Atari drives, since weīve replaced them with 1.44īs in some ST(E)īs thru the years. You can have one if needed. :-) Just mail us at Flashlabs...
