hi ,another way to get sound without external midi equipment,is to let run the fantastic E.P.S.S. (but only with an STe, :-( ,sorry), hooked up on CUBASE.
Can be downloaded from the Dead Hackers Society.
getting samples???-->som old atari 8bit game-files, soundmachines, internet,
or (urgg) sample it with DOSe and convert them with 525
or use an second ST to run SMS-synth on it (in monitor mode).
Sorry i dont know where you can actually get this PD-proggy.
