"Maybe there are still some old Jaguar developers who can give some
technical
support to make the machine Jaguar compatible..." -TXG (Email to me)
This is very unstable ground to walk on. For one thing this can have different meenings. One meening is that we can try to make it compatable with the help of current underground developers such as the likes of Songbird Productions, ScatoLogic, or the numerous other closet developers out there. This is the good meening. The bad one is this. This could meen trying to get the help of the orginal "licensed by Atari" developers. This is what is unstable. Even though the Jaguar console was declared an open platform does not meen they can talk about it or share anything. Many companys force people to sign heavy NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements)and those companys usually have to sign one themselves, and so on up. Companys are very protective of "their work" and still believe after manys years they should not share it becuase it could be a "trade secret" or some other thing. Most of these developers are quite nice and sure a good portion would give a hand once talked to, but many are afraid of the many possible law suits they face for breaking even one of many possibly signed NDAs. So it is a big issue if you start looking at the deep legal issues that might be behind that road. As much as there is to traveling the second route, it is a very vaild point so we will just have to wait and see what events unfold if we do get help that way.
