Yes, I agree,
I've had a few succesfull uses of HDD disks with the ST, but I've found a lot have failed. I found a faq that said do not use HDD disks (with the second hole covered up) because the density of the magnetic coating is different. That's where problems arise. Luckily for my, I can still buy 2DD disks (just bought 40 last week) but I've noticed the price is going up, I bought 40 a year ago and they were about $2.50 (CDN) cheaper a box!
