I heard Amigans and Atarians had a nice time together at the World of Alternatives. The people at this board make it sound like they were probably throwing stones at each other.
From what I heard it was a rather nice and peaceful event!?
Both Amiga computers and Ataris have alot in common. The Amiga 1000 was launched in 1985 and only a couple of months later the Atari ST. In the 80s both Amigas and Ataris used the 68k processors and had between 0.5-1.0 of memory. Although the Amiga had costum chips (which made it a more powerful machine for multimedia stuff) Atari wanted to buy these chips as well prior to the takeover of Amiga by Commodore (The development of these chips were funded by Atari!). Amiga had technicly a much better operating system and that`s why it is still being developed and ported to new platforms today.
I would rather see Amiga succeed than ahving to deal with Microsoft for another 10 years!
