No, you are not.
I too beleive that while a merger is totally out of the question, I do beleive that living alongside each other, and giving the odd secret handshake now and then, would benefit both sides of the fence.
As a Linux user, on both My atari's and my PC's, I can see how well supported the Amiga is compared to the atari, and the Amigas new hardware is something that we as Atari users should get, but even with some of the specs for some boards we can come across, it simply cannot compete with Amiga ones. Atari boards definitely need to have some tips from them.
Being slightly Anti-Amiga, or Anti Atari may well be a bit of fun, yes, and competition is the best way to get better systems, but being totally against each other will ruin it for both of us.
One major factor too, in the development in the Atari clones that certainly need to be addressed, is undoubtedly the price.
While one may say, that we need to sell the parts for this ammount, they dont actually manage to sell many, but I wonder how many they would sell if the parts were in reach of our pockets?
I know I have built up 2 whole PC's ( Cyrix 333, AMD 400 and AMD Duron for less than it would cost me to buy a graphics card for the STE )
