Depending on which version 7800 you have, pretty much all of the 2600 games will work on that console. The 7800 has the 2600 chip built in, so the 7800 is 2 systems in one. The 5200 however requires a specific adaptor to play 2600 games. The 5200 cartridges are a little wider and only playable on the 5200. Hope this answers your question.
