No! Seriously though, its actually true! - Anyone can say what they like, but it is!
As an Example, take a peice of paper...( Thick one preferably )
Now, its a nice clean sheet isnt it?
You can write to the paper a few times ( Pencil though! ) and it doesnt wear it out does it?
Now, if you use a rubber ( Format ) it can take up some paper, and eventually, it will wear through it!
Actually, I think that is a shit example, but its all I can think of!
The D2D Machines you are talking about only actually do a SOFT FORMAT, which really only deletes the sample, and does not actually do a full Dixel-Wipe of the disks arse!
The sample is still there, its just that the disk is ready to use again, and it the next time you wite a new sample, it will write the disk as if it was not there!
I can explain any simpler, so I wont bother, otherwise, youd start to piss yourself over my examples!
