Sorry, you donīt need any SCSI adapter with a MegaFile...
(because it isnīt SCSI, it is ACSI)
I have a MEGA4 too, with a MegaFile 60 which is under
modification atm. It now has a 540MB SCSI HD, and a CD,
and a "SCSI HUB" is in progress, to make it possible
to connect up to 4 computers to it at the same time.
(ANY computer, ATARI, MAC/MagiCMAC, and... ok,peesee)

Though itīs not finished in any way, we will update soon...
Now, for your Megafile: Since it spins up, and the
LED flashes, the only thing I can think of, is a missing driver...
