Hi Leve, I think that what you say is just a common misconception. You can do wonderful things very fast with GEM, and the Faster the computer the better it performs. Have you seen GEMDemo for example? 16bit color demo effects such as bumbmap very fast all in a GEM window. There is a GEM version of PACMAN and it is very smooth and fast forexample. Furthermore, that issue aside, Do you really want to stop what you're doing, reboot your computer into, for example ST-LOW just to play a game for 5 minutes? It's nice while you editing webpages with joe, doing an essay with papyrus, just to take a break.. no need to reboot, and load up a GEM Game. Finally, with GEM your program reaches a much LARGER audience. It would be playable by ALL atari users. ST's, Falcons, Milans, Hades, MagiCPC, MagiCMac, CenturboFalcons, STacy .. you get the point :)
