The problem with WinSTon's approach is that you can never get every disk ever produced. I don't believe that had Strategem or Superior disks at all. Another problem was that, on my system at least, the dialog took about 2 minutes of disk whirring to appear. The way Steem does it is to use shortcuts, the idea is you ceate multiple shortcuts to a disk, one for each game on it. That way you can organize the shortcuts into folders making it easy to find any game on your system.
I will be adding a create multiple shortcuts option, so you can do it all in one go, and I could create the shortcuts automatically using WinSTon's favourites.txt, that would only have to be done once, similar to your idea.
